Alita Battle Angel 2 is expected to be made after the first part proved itself to be a huge hit in the box office. There has been no official announcement regarding a sequel. But, it should not be too far from reality. Since the ending of the first part was sort of a cliffhanger.

Alita Battle Angel 2 story
So, we can definitely expect the story to be continued in a sequel, Alita Battle Angel 2. The original movie is based on Yukito Kishiro’s manga series with the same title. The movie’s producer, James Cameron has said that the first part was a complete story. It had a proper introduction, middle and conclusion. But, he also said that there is still a lot to explore in Kishiro’s story.
Cameron also revealed that he and Robert Rodriguez (director) that they are planning to make Alita Battle Angel 2. But, there are certain problems that they have to tackle first. Apart from the monetary success of the movie, they have also considered how the public has received the movie.
What do the producers have to say?
Rodriguez and Cameron have said that it would be cheeky to bring out a sequel before you have been proven. Cameron said, “I don’t really worry about things like that. If a movie fails, it is its own punishment. The mockery does not matter then.”
So, we can safely assume that Alita Battle Angel 2 is definitely going to come and continue the story. Fun fact: Rodriguez has already revealed that Cameron has sent him the notes of the sequel’s script, which is around 600 pages.
The collections of the first part
The first part, Alita: Battle Angel had released in February 2019 and it earned around $92.5 million in 82 markets. The overall worldwide collection of the movie was $403 million.
