Blizzard announced World of Warcraft: Classic at Blizzcon 2017. The game is intended to let the players experience the WoW The Burning Crusade.

Players were only able to play the World of Warcraft on private servers which have their own problems. First of all private servers are illegal, have stability issue and are imperfect. These servers struggle in creating the authentic World of Warcraft experience.
However, the recent developments have made it easier to emulate the Classic server on modern hardware. It should be noted that even though the modern architecture is used players will not be able to use features like Looking for Raid and Dungeon Finder.
In 2018 development team decide to use patch 1.12 as a foundation for the Classic. The team has managed to build a totally rebuilt version of patch 1.12 and run it.
Another update has been posted on the World of Warcraft Classic by the community manager Bornakk which is hinting towards an upcoming beta.
The post explains that the Blizzard has begun a phase of internal alpha testing and these testings are simply the part of the process. This post quashed all the rumors that were suggesting that beta sign in process is about to start.
World of Warcraft Classic: Content
Blizzard informed that the game will receive the raid content in six phases. These phases will mirror the original release schedule of raid content.
Blizzard made its fan happy after it announced that the game will feature the PvP mode but there is no schedule out for it. The PvP mode will be rolled out after the release of all six phases.
Gambling News reports that World of Warcraft is expected to rake in millions of players at the very least.
World of Warcraft: Release Date
Blizzard has not confirmed the release date of the World of Warcraft but the game is expected to be launched in 2019.
