When will Avengers Endgame get a DVD, Blu-ray and digital release?

The historic closer to a decade long journey of the Marvel Universe has come to an end with the release of Avengers Endgame in theatres this weekend. If you’re one of the unlucky souls who are unable to make it to the cinema halls, don’t feel disheartened. We will let you know when is Avengers Endgame getting a DVD and Blu-ray release.

There are people who are likely to enjoy their movie watching experience at a comfy place of their choice. So, for them, a home release becomes very important.

Here we have some likelihood of when is the Avengers Endgame aiming for a DVD and Blu-ray release or even a digital release on Netflix and Disney+.

DVD and Blu-ray release?

Typically movies take roundabout 3-5 months between the theatrical release and the Blu-ray release. So, if we contemplate this parameter we’re looking at around the end of July or early August of 2019 for Avengers Endgame to come to DVD and Blu-ray.

Another example that we might see an August release is due to the previous Marvel film, Avengers Infinity War. It was met with a DVD release in the month of August last year; August 14th to be specific.

So judging by this timeframe it’s easy to guess that Avengers Endgame will most likely drop on either August 13 or August 20.

Any digital release? Netflix or Disney Plus?

Digital releases of films usually hit the stores first then a physical DVD release. Avengers Infinity War made its debut on Netflix on July 31 of last year. The previous Marvel flick was available on Netflix.

However, the digital release of Avengers Endgame remains inconclusive. Particularly, since Netflix is no longer the streaming partner for Disney’s movies. The agreement between Netflix and Disney has ended.

To see the mighty Avengers take on the Mad Titan, Thanos and defeat him, you might have to look elsewhere.

iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney Plus are your best bets.

Disney+ is the ultimate destination for all your Marvel movies after the Netflix breakup. Disney+ will launch on November 12 in the US. So it is credible to think that Endgame will stream sometime after November 12.

All in all, a digital and physical release is confirmed. It is just that the timeline isn’t clear. A strong box office collection could stretch home-release to September or October.
