OnePlus 7 to copy iPhone X after all – specs, release date and price

OnePlus 7 will launch in a few days and we know barely anything about the device. However, the rumor mill has been hard at work and we compiled all the possible features and price of the phone.

Design

There are have been several leaks and renders suggesting different design.

The first render shows that OnePlus is going to copy the iPhone X design like other manufacturers.

One render suggested that the phone will feature a sliding mechanism like the Xiaomi Phone.

However, a new leaked image posted by a Twitter user suggests that OnePlus is working on a pop-up camera similar to Vivo Nex.

The in display fingerprint and pop up selfie camera will help the device achieve more than 95% screen to body ratio.

Hardware

According to the reports, the OnePlus 7 specs will pack the latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 and boast a Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display which will be clocked at 90 Hz. The screen is expected to size at 6.2 inches.

The RAM will vary between 6 GB to 10 GB depending upon the variant. This year’s OnePlus will have 4,150 mah of battery.

According to the renders, the phone will also sport a triple camera setup two lense will be used for wide angle and telephoto.

CEO of OnePlus Pete Lau has quashed all the rumors about the wireless charging. In a recent interview, he clearly mentioned that the phone will not support wireless charging. He explained that there is no benefit in adding support since wireless charging is slow.

However, it is clear that the phone will come with the wrap charge which will be clocked at 3oW. OnePlus 7 will not have a headphone jack but sport the new USB 3.1 standard.

Expected Release and Pricing

OnePlus 7  is expected to be released globally on 14 May alongside a 5G variant. The phone will be priced above £499.
