Should You Buy iPhone XS now or wait for iPhone 11 to Release?

The iPhone XS vs iPhone 11 comparison isn’t an easy one. While on one side we have the ever successful latest flagship from Apple, on the other side there’s the upcoming feature smartphone that has generated so much buzz in the market even before it’s release date.

Apple’s 2018 launch, the iPhone XS continues to be one of the most dominating products in the smartphone markets today. However, as 2019 progresses – we are heading forward towards the launch of the gen-next iPhone 11.

The big question now is: should you wait for an iPhone 11 or should you buy an iPhone XS right now? Let us take a closer look at both these devices and attempt to answer the question.

iPhone XS: Specs and Features

Apple’s iPhone XS comes out in two variants – a regular XS and an XS Max. The biggest difference between the two variants of iPhone XS is that the regular sized phone comes with a 5.8-inch display while the larger, XS Max offers a 6.5-inch display.

Both these smartphones run on Apple’s A12 Bionic chipset and feature the same CPU/GPU combination. The phones run on iOS 12.1.3 and will be upgraded to iOS 13 for sure. Both these iPhone XS devices come with a 12MP+12MP dual camera on the back along with a 7MP camera on the front.

Apart from the display, another difference between the regular XS and XS Max comes when you compare the battery life of the two devices. The smaller of the two offers a 2658mAh battery while the larger, XS Max, comes with a 3174mAh battery.

iPhone 11: Expected Specs

As of this writing, there are no official details which have been announced about the iPhone 11. The phone is also rumoured to be branded as ‘iPhone XI‘ which puts it in line with Apple’s recent X-series branding. The phone is expected to come out in three variants: a regular sized iPhone 11, an iPhone 11 Max and iPhone 11R (a ‘lite’ version of the iPhone).

Apple might even introduce a third camera in its latest iPhone devices. This will be in line with most major names in the industry introducing a triple (and even quadruple) cameras on the back. Interestingly, the cameras will be placed in a square module this time.

It is also being expected that this new iPhone would feature dual SIM capabilities (as was seen in the China-variants of XS Max last year).

iPhone 11 Release Date

Apple is yet to announce an official release date for the gen-next iPhone devices. However, going by their usual pattern of release, the iPhone 11 release date might be set for the second week of September 2019. This would mean the phones will hit the stores by Q4 2019.

Should You Wait for iPhone 11 or go for iPhone XS?

C0ming to the big question now – is it worth your money to buy the iPhone XS or should you rather wait for the iPhone 11 (or iPhone XI) to come out? Purchasing the top-end iPhone is an expensive purchase!

Hence, for those who are willing to shell out the exorbitant amount of money that it takes to buy an iPhone, it is best advised for them to rather wait for the iPhone 11 than to go for the iPhone XS. However, the XS too, is quite a war-horse! It is one of the most power-packed smartphones in the market right now. But remember, good things come to those who wait!
