The Argentine footballer, Lionel Messi will soon resume playing club matches starting with the one against Espanyol scheduled on March 30. After a string of bad luck, Barcelona fans finally have something to celebrate.
In a friendly international match against Venezuela on Friday, Argentina lost by 3-1. It later surfaced that the tragedy didn’t end there for Argentina. Their 31-year-old icon suffered from a flare-up of an old pubic injury during the match.
As a result, Lionel Messi will not be playing against Morocco this week.

Absence from the match just a precaution
Post-injury, Barcelona released a statement that read,
“Lionel Messi did not have the return to international action that he would have wanted, and an injury picked up on Friday night means he will miss Argentina’s game against Morocco on Tuesday.”
It appears that the withdrawal from international playoffs was just a precaution to prevent further damage.

The injury has Barcelona fans worried that their key player may not be able to show his calibre in the match against The Red Devils.
However, there is nothing to be worried about. Spanish publication Marca revealed that the star player would be seen on the field on March 30 against Espanyol.
What’s next for Barcelona
Although the Catalan Giants hold a 10 point lead in La Liga, they will want their iconic footballer on the ground next month. After the match against Espanyol, Barcelona is scheduled for a playoff against Atletico Madrid, followed by a Manchester United quarter-final on April 10.

Lionel Messi is expected to make a full recovery before the playoffs start. He has been in top form this season, having scored nine goals in last six matches.
