Aladdin live action movie has been received its much awaited trailer and the fans seem to love it. Also, Disney has started remaking a lot of their previous animated classics and now it is time for Aladdin.
Last year, Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson in the lead was a notable success and The Jungle Book was also well received. The Lion King is going to release later this year. But, now we have, Guy Richie’s live action movie, Aladdin.

Who is the cast?
Disney has confirmed the list of people who will be playing the major roles in the live action movie.
Mena Massoud is going to play the role of Aladdin. And this is going to be his first major role as he is a newcomer. Apparently, Massoud grabbed the role by beating his other counterparts such as Dev Patel and Riz Ahmed. Naomi Scott is going to play, Princess Jasmine.
She is best known for her role as the Pink Ranger (Kimberly Hart) in the Power Rangers reboot movie. And the most talked about role will be played by Will Smith, the Genie. His role as the Genie has been subjected to a lot of internet trolls and memes since the previous animated movie had Robin Williams as the Genie. Smith surely has a big role to play.
Marwan Kenzari will be playing the villain in the movie, Jafar. Kenzari is best known for his roles in Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy and Ben-Hur. And Alan Tudyk will be lending his voice for Jafar’s pet parrot. Numan Acar is going to play the role of Hakim, Jafar’s right hand man. Nasim Pedrad is going to be Princess Jasmine’s loyal friend, Mara. And, Billy Magnusen is going to play one of the eligible suitors for Jasmine.
What is the story of Aladdin?
Even though we have all heard the story and we have all watched cartoons, let’s have a brief synopsis here. Aladdin is the story of a charming street guy, Aladdin and the brave and adamant Princess Jasmine. And the magical Genie might be the answer to their problems. Aladdin is directed by Guy Richie and written by John August. And the film is set in the backdrop of the fictional city of Agrabah.
What is the release date for Aladdin?
The movie is going to be released on 24 May 2019.
