Samsung Galaxy S10 vs Apple iPhone XS : Why The Benchmarks Don’t Matter

Samsung Galaxy S10 vs Apple Phone XS: Why The Benchmarks Don't Matter The Samsung Galaxy S10 vs Apple iPhone XS battle has taken a new turn as benchmark scores have leaked for the upcoming Samsung flagship. However, does it really matter?

Samsung Galaxy S10 has yet to be launched and the upcoming smartphone by Samsung is already getting mixed ‘reviews’. We are not talking about any click bait articles who just want to gain some attention for the sake of it. Actual benchmarks have been uncovered for the Samsung Galaxy S10 and its processors which are the Samsung Exynos 9820 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.

Are Samsung Galaxy S10’s Benchmark scores below the Apple iPhone XS?

Every other source has different numbers, however, one thing is common in all of them and it is that the numbers are going to be below Apple’s A12 processor and the Apple iPhone XS. if you are an android or a Samsung fan, these reports can be discouraging. however, you need to keep in mind that these benchmark scores do not actually matter at all.

There are a lot of reasons why these kinds of benchmark scores should not be taken into account. When you are judging a smartphone’s qualities. It does not matter if those benchmark scores are underwhelming or very impressive.

Why are Samsung Galaxy S10 vs Apple iPhone XS Benchmark scores Not that important?

You can take them as you want, but the truth remains that the benchmark scores will never be able to judge how the people are going to use a particular smartphone. This is why the benchmarks will never be able to measure the user experience accurately.

As far as the creators of the benchmarks are concerned, they cannot even agree upon if they are using benchmarks to measure the theoretical maximum potential of the phone’s hardware or they are trying to determine the real-world use.

This does not mean that the benchmarks are completely useless. you can use the benchmarks as a starting point for any comparison but that is it. People are never going to see eye to eye on anything and this is where all the arguments begin.

Why comparing Benchmarks in smartphones pointless?

Unlike comparing PCs where you can use benchmarks to compare them. You just cannot use them in smartphones. This is because all the components of a smartphone are made from different vendors, from the batteries to memory management. Different smartphones from different brands are so unique that they might as well be considered a whole different platform.

When it comes to comparing the Samsung Galaxy S10 with iPhone XS is like comparing apples to oranges. The user experience of an Android vs with an iOS is so different than each other, the benchmarks will never be able to compare them together.

Are Samsung Galaxy S10 and other Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 phones actually slower than iPhone XS?

This is going to depend completely upon using the same app on both phones at the same time. While using the app, run a speed test. But even after doing that, the same app can be written in two different ways. In order to run on both Samsung Galaxy S10 and other Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor phones and the iPhone XS and the other Apple’s A12 processor phones.

At the end of it all, it all comes down to the end user experience and nothing else. How you feel about the phone might not be the same what other people are feeling about the same phone. This is the main reasons as to why there is a massive rivalry between Android and iOS users.

This rivalry is what sparks the investigations where the Apple iPhone XS users will do anything to make their smartphones look superior. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S10 enthusiasts will also do the same. Try to defend their beloved upcoming smartphone from Samsung against premature reviews and critics.
